How to view a video
A Video clip presented
here comes in three versions: high, medium and low quality.
You normally select the version to use according to the speed of
your Internet connection:
High bandwidth: for Internet connection
rated at 384Kbps (cable modem, DSL).
Medium bandwidth: for 128Kbps connection
(ISDN).
Low bandwidth: for 56 Kbps connection
(dial-up).
There are two ways to view a video:
Streaming: Stream the video to your
browser by clicking on the appropriate link.
Downloading: Download
the video to your local drive and play it from there:
right-click on the link, then save link target to disk.
Double-click on the saved file to play it at your leisure. If
you have a slow Internet connection, you can still use this method
to view the high bandwidth version.
Your browser may not be configured for streaming and may not play
the video properly. If so, use downloading. It is also
more efficient to download if you expect to view the video again at
a later time. For best results, make sure you have the current
versions of
Windows Media player and
Internet
Explorer.
